This Pistachio and Cranberry Baked Brie appetizer is a family favourite and is perfect for those low key wine and cheese nights in your friends. Bonus: It only requires 20 minutes to prep and cook and 6 ingredients!
- 2 cups of fresh or frozen Berries
- zest of one Orange (save a few slivers for garnish)
- 1/3 cup of granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup of water (less if berries are frozen)
- 1 wheel of Canadian Brie
- 1/2 cup shelled Pistachios
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Add berries of your choice, sugar, water and about half of the orange zest to a medium saucepan, and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for approximately 10 minutes.
Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the Canadian Brie in the center of the sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese begins to ooze out the side.
Last. transfer to a serving tray. Top with the berries sauce, and sprinkle with pistachios and remaining orange zest.
Serve immediately with crackers.
