Here’s a fun, simple and not-so-scary way to get your kids to eat the good stuff this Halloween season!



Makes 3 Toasted Avocado Monster Heads 

    • 4 avocados
    • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
    • radishes
    • black olives
    • 1/2 red bell pepper
    • 4 pieces of bread, toasted



Half and pit the avocados. Scoop out the avocado flesh into a bowl and  use a fork to mash with lemon juice and a bit of salt and pepper to taste.

Slice radishes to create the whites of the eyes. Carve up pieces of black olive for eyeballs, hair and scars. Chop up pieces of red bell pepper for mouths. Feel free to get creative here and use other veggies.

Spread the mashed avocado onto the toast and decorate. Get the littles involved or surprise them with the monstrously wonderful breakfast, lunch or snack!
